8 mm safety margin
Keep your text and design within the green frame. This is the safety margin that ensures that nothing is cut off from your design.
Cover up to 40% of the surface with ink
Growingpaper is full of 'bumpy' seeds, which can cause stripes when printing solid areas. Large areas of color or a photo do not give the best result. 'Less is more' applies to your design, and using less ink is of course also more sustainable.
Plant instruction and step-by-step guideline
Place a planting instruction and the website www.letitsprout.com on your card. This way, the recipient knows exactly how he or she can best bring the seed paper to bloom! You will find the icons in the clipart in the tool.
NB! These icons are not standard on the card.
The green frame is the safety margin of 8 mm. Due to the bumpy seeds in the paper, it sometimes shifts a bit in the printer or during cutting. Therefore, stay within the green frame with your text and images, then this minimal shift will be the least noticeable.
Your card will eventually be the size including the green frame.
Save your design in the design tool by clicking 'Save' at the top left. Your design will then be saved for a while using cookies. Be careful, because the moment you clear your browser history, or if you wait too long, your design is lost. It is not entirely clear how long your design will be kept.

Will you come back later? Place your order in the same way via 'Prices and order', choose your paper type, seed and size and you will enter the design tool. Open your saved design via 'My designs'.
Your order is only final when you click continue and actually place the order in the checkout.

In the tool itself, you can no longer change because the price of your order is linked to the paper size you chose before. You can, however, choose a different format here and start over with your design.
At the moment, this is not yet possible. We are working on an improved version of the design tool in which this is possible.
You can of course make your design sideways to still get the desired result.
