Growing paper is a type of paper where seeds are incorporated between the paper fibres. This type of paper is usually made from recycled paper and the seeds used range from flower seeds to vegetable or fruit seeds.

The idea behind growing paper is that after it has been used for its original purpose, it can be planted in the ground where the seeds in the paper can germinate and grow into plants. This makes growing paper a sustainable and environmentally friendly option as it can be used for its intended purpose and then reused to grow plants.

Growing paper can be used for a variety of purposes, including greeting cards, wedding invitations, packaging materials and promotional items. It is also a popular option for companies and organisations looking for sustainable and unique ways to promote their brand.

We offer growing paper in two different thicknesses: 250 g/m² and 80 g/m².

The 80 g/m² growing paper is a lighter version, similar to normal printer paper. It is ideal for applications such as leaflets, postcards and other printed materials for which a thinner paper is suitable.

The 250 g/m² growing paper is a heavier version, similar to cardboard. It is ideal for applications where a firmer paper is needed, such as business cards, invitations or product packaging.

Both variants are made from recycled material and are seeded, making them eco-friendly and sustainable. In addition, both variants are available in different sizes and shapes. You can find all our formats here.

We offer growing paper in different shapes and sizes to meet your specific requirements. Our options include:

  • DIN formats: A3, A4, A5, A6, A7
  • Folding cards
  • Business cards
  • Flyers/folders
  • Square formats
  • Special formats: We also offer unique shapes such as hearts, circles and pine trees, as well as other custom shapes.
  • Custom formats: If you have a specific size or shape in mind, we can work with you to create a customised growing paper to meet your requirements.

Whatever format you choose, all our growing paper is made from recycled material and is seeded, making it an eco-friendly and sustainable choice for your next project.

In growing paper, seeds are used in the paper production process. The seeds are selected partly for their ability to germinate quickly and easily, and they are embedded in the fibres of the paper during the production process.

When you receive your growing paper and plant it in the soil and water it, the paper begins to decompose and the embedded seeds can germinate and grow into plants. The paper acts as a natural fertiliser, providing nutrients to the germinating seeds as they germinate. All information on planting our paper can be found here.

The type of plant that grows from the growing paper depends on the seeds embedded in the paper during production. Growing paper can be made with different kinds of seeds, such as wildflowers, herbs or vegetables, so you can choose the kind of plant that best suits your needs.

Growing paper is a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to traditional paper products, as it can be used for its intended purpose and then grow into beautiful plants.
